The Principals
The principals of Boston Equity Advisors have extensive experience in restructuring corporate operations to facilitate a company financing, and in negotiating private debt and equity placements. They have developed a broad range of contacts in the private placement community.
Boston Equity Advisors, LLC is a registered broker dealer. The two principals of Boston Equity are Registered Securities representatives and General Securities Principals.
The founders and principals of Boston Equity Advisors, Arnold Freedman and Mark Butts, have complementary expertise; Mr. Freedman has a background in business management and sales. Mr. Butts’ background is in finance, law and accounting. This allows them to offer clients a full range of insights and services. Their first-hand experience in business management and financing
negotiations on behalf of their own pre-IPO company, raising more than $50 million, gives them an understanding of early stage company operations that many investment advisors lack.

Mark Butts is a CPA and an attorney, with more than 25 years experience in the fields of accounting, finance, taxation and law, including the preparation of business plans, financial models, and private placement documents. His career in financial management includes service with a Big Five accounting firm, due diligence investigations, and experience as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Butts is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts. He received a J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, an L.L.M. (Taxation) from Boston University Law School, and an L.L.M. (Technology Law) from Suffolk University Law School.
•Arnold E. Freedman•
Arnold Freedman has been involved in the management of entrepreneurial businesses for over 25 years, developing an expertise in business management, marketing and financing negotiations. He was most recently a founder and the CEO of Rustel, a Russian satellite telecommunications company, where he developed an extensive connection to the European investment community. Mr. Freedman also worked closely with investment banking advisors Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, Salomon Brothers, and Creditanstalt International Advisors. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.
